was taken a few days after it happened, so believe it or not it
looks a little better than it used to. He was climbing up on the
counter to get in the fridge and touched his hand on the stove that
had just been turned off about 5 minutes before hand. He immediately
started crying. We put it in a cup of ice water. He cried for about an
hour straight. We just kept adding more ice to his cup. He held his
hand in that cup for about 6 1/2 hours. He would carry it around the
house with him. After 6 1/2 hours he finally took his hand out of the
cup and let Chris apply burn gel and wrap it up. It wasn't until he woke
up the next morning, when we changed his bandages and noticed how
bad the burn really was. His hand was so wrinkly the day before because
he had it in the water for so long, so it was hard to see the burn. I felt
so bad for him. Now he thinks his hand is cool and loves to show everyone
his injury!
